Support for You
We are here for you
The loss of someone we care about can be devastating and one of the most difficult experiences we will have to face, it can be lonely and isolating, especially if you have nobody you can talk to. It is why so many people turn to us, looking for support to help them cope, to help them get through the difficult times.
There a number of ways we can help.
Face to face support
Our one-to-one sessions take place with one of our fully trained Bereavement Volunteers. You will initially be offered six weekly sessions which each last for 50 minutes. Support sessions usually take place in one of our four venues across Nottinghamshire.
Very similar to the face-to-face support, these sessions take place over the telephone. One of our Bereavement Volunteers will make arrangements to call you once a week at the same time for 6 weeks and offer support over the telephone.
We can offer group support sessions that take place once a week for six weeks, this service is currently only available in Nottingham. The group is kept quite small, no more than 6-8 attendees, so that everyone has a chance to fully participate.
You don’t have to make this journey alone, we are waiting here to help.

More than Words
Have you been bereaved? Would you like to meet and help others in a similar situation for friendship and mutual support?
Following a bereavement, many people can feel lonely or isolated. Even with a network of friends, colleagues and relatives, individuals can still feel they have no one to turn to. We’re here to help. Working with the British Red Cross, Cruse Bereavement Care has established ‘More than Words’.
‘More than Words’ is a new service that will provide opportunities for many bereaved individuals to come together in mutual support around shared interests.
